Borussia Dortmund can lock up their place in the last 16 with two games remaining if they can beat Sevilla on matchday four of Group G
Borussia Dortmund had Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui sacked following their 1-4 win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan a week ago in Machday three of their Champions League Group G, bringing Jude Bellingham et al now just one more win away from sealing a ticket to the last 16.
Die Borussen then followed it up with a thrilling 2-2 draw at Der Klassiker in Bayern Munich, trailing two goals down before hitting back with goals from Youssoufa Moukoko and Anthony Modeste, leaving the pair still stuck in third and fourth in the table.
Sevilla, meanwhile, have now replaced Julen Lopetegui with Jorge Sampaoli, with the former Spain boss heavily linked with the Wolves job while he has also presented the Andalusian club the Europa League trophy.
The Argentina coach then made his Sevilla debut during the weekend’s La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao which ended in a 1-1 draw after Oliver Torres’ quick fourth-minute goal was saved by Mikel Vesga in the 73rd minute.
