Real Betis will host AS Roma at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on matchday 4 of Group C of the 2022/2023 Europa League
Roma is currently in a pretty difficult situation. Opportunities for Jose Mourinho’s troops to compete with Betis in the race for the group title position are fairly slim. Now, finishing in second place is probably the most realistic target for the Giallorossi.
On matchday 3 last week, Roma were defeated by Betis at the Olimpico with a score of 1-2. Roma had taken the lead through a Paulo Dybala penalty, but lost after Guido Rodriguez and Luiz Henrique scored twice for the La Liga representatives.
Betis currently lead with a perfect nine points, followed by Ludogorets Razgrad with four points, Roma with three points and HJK Helsinki with one point.
Instead of traveling to Spain later, Rome’s chances of winning are not too big. Because, Rome will not be strengthened Nicolo Zaniolo who gets a red card. Paulo Dybala, who suffered a serious injury in the 2-1 win over Lecce in Italy’s Serie A last weekend, is also absent for Roma.
